About this file
This document is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) detailing janitorial and cleaning requirements for the Rapids Lake Visitor Center.
The PWS specifies cleaning tasks organized by facility area and frequency. Weekly tasks include vacuuming or sweeping hard surface floors and carpets, spot mopping, dusting surfaces and window frames, cleaning and sanitizing sinks and drinking fountains, emptying trash receptacles, and spot cleaning fingerprints and smudges. Monthly tasks include damp mopping hard surface floors, thorough dusting of vertical surfaces, high dusting of air vents and door frames, auto scrubbing hard surface floors, washing and squeegeeing entrance glass, and cleaning and polishing metal work. Specific facility areas covered include the visitor center hallway, classrooms, display areas, front and back entrances, reception area, office areas, conference rooms, kitchenette, restrooms (public and staff), basement areas (locker room and multipurpose space), auditorium, and lobbies. The document includes detailed tracking sheets with columns for weekly sign-offs over a four-week month and corresponding signature and date fields. Additionally, a monthly and annual frequency schedule identifies specific tasks such as removing cobwebs from building entrances, cleaning baseboards, brushing upholstered furniture, and performing deep cleaning of carpets, hard floors, restroom facilities, and windows on designated months throughout the calendar year.
