This document provides details on a federal solicitation for construction services. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking a firm-fixed-price contract to construct the third phase of a new fish sucker hatchery in Klamath Falls, Oregon, with an estimated value between $5-10 million. The scope of work includes constructing up to twenty earthen aquaculture ponds with associated infrastructure, a 0.6-acre stormwater detention pond, access roads, pressurized piping for geothermal water distribution, and a 370-foot-long concrete block retaining wall. The period of performance is three years from the anticipated June 2023 notice to proceed. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 237990. The document outlines eight bid line items and provides site descriptions, geotechnical information, and design details to inform prospective offerors on the requirements.

Amendment 0004 Klamath Falls Phase 3 Considerations IFB No. 140FC323B0002 This amendment shall serve as notice to prospective bidders that the USFWS had identified additional utilities in the proposed Phase 3 construction area. Specifically, in/around the A1-A2 Pond area. The USFWS is working on a resolution to relocate or protect these utilities through a separate contract action. However, the winning bidder shall allow time for the USFWS and their contractor to complete resolution of this issue prior to being allowed to begin construction in this specific area. This is estimated to be completed by Dec 2023. A rough sketch is provided below for reference.
