Marquee Sign Scope and Pricing Table Summary

This scope of work and pricing document outlines marquee sign installation and repair services for the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) under a district-wide, as-needed contract arrangement. The project involves furnishing and installing 5'-0" x 10'-0" illuminated marquees at multiple DISD locations, with work to be performed during after-hours on school days (Monday through Friday) and coordinated with campus schedules during non-school days and student vacation periods. Work is to commence five days after purchase order issuance, with the contract potentially awarded based on the best proposed timeline for completion. The DISD reserves the right to restrict construction activities during critical testing periods. Three pricing options are offered: Option One covers complete turnkey new signage installation including pole, concrete pier, electrical fixtures, polycarbonate faces with school names and messaging, lettering sets with 300 six-inch letters, and an 18-foot telescopic pole; Option Two provides electronic signage with LED reader boards and dual-face internally illuminated signs featuring programmable messaging capabilities; and Option Three addresses corrective repair services district-wide requiring prior authorization from the Maintenance Department. The contract term is three years with two successive one-year renewal options, not to exceed five years total, requiring ninety days' written notice for non-renewal.

All installations must be guaranteed for one year from acceptance, with defective materials corrected within 30 days of notification. Contractors are required to furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, permits, and licenses necessary for proper completion. The contractor must maintain a detailed job progress manual documenting existing conditions, work progress, and materials used. All work must comply with OSHA 1926 Health and Safety Standards, applicable municipal codes and regulations, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Welding Society (AWS), National Building Codes, and the National Electrical Code. A licensed electrician with master's license oversight must perform all electrical work. Contractors must provide a named project supervisor responsible for servicing, pricing, manpower coordination, and professional execution; submit engineering drawings with engineer's seal for approval; and maintain secure, clean work sites with daily trash removal. The pricing table requires unit pricing for materials including masonry grout-filled CMU, facade brick, cast stone caps, LED sign cabinets, pier construction, electrical conduit, and related site work components. Failure to complete the pricing sheet in its entirety will result in rejection of the bid as incomplete.
