About this file
This is Amendment 0002 to a federal solicitation for hazardous waste disposal services at two National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) facilities located in Sandy Hook and Milford. The amendment incorporates Site Visit Questions and Answers (Q&As) into solicitation 1333MF26Q0040 and is effective July 16, 2026. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment by completing items 8 and 15 on the form and returning one signed copy prior to the proposal closing date of July 23, 2026 at 09:00 AM EST.
For the Sandy Hook facility, offerors must include pricing and proposals for sampling of 4 x 30-gallon DF unknown drums (possibly containing antifreeze) and 65 gallons of water potentially contaminated with hazardous materials, with sampling to be conducted in accordance with Statement of Work CLIN 0002 Task 1 regarding Hazard Categorization (Haz-Cat) field testing. Three drums containing Mercuric Chloride solution have been identified with specific UN classifications (UN2810, UN2922) and will be relocated to the Central Accumulation Area (CAA) prior to shipment by the Government. Material in Lab 212 is excluded from this requirement as it is currently in use. For the Milford facility, offerors should anticipate disposal of a maximum of 10 bio sharps containers and universal waste storage area drums containing anti-freeze/coolant, used oil, drained used oil filters, and gasoline. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.
