About this file
This is a Minimum Insurance Requirements Form for External Audit Services submitted to Broward County's Office of County Auditor in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The County is seeking a qualified independent Certified Public Accounting firm to perform annual financial and compliance audits for the County, Constitutional Officers, and Component Units as outlined in a detailed Scope of Services. The solicitation requires vendors to submit responses electronically through BPRO (Broward Procurement System) by the specified closing date and time, with the County providing a designated timeframe for vendors to submit questions and seek clarification regarding solicitation requirements. All responses must receive a Submission Receipt, and vendors are encouraged to submit materials in advance of the deadline. The County strongly encourages vendors to provide all requested documentation and information, including optional items, to enable timely and comprehensive review.
The insurance requirements establish minimum coverage levels that must be maintained by the contractor, including Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate), Auto Liability ($500,000 combined), Professional Liability/Errors & Omissions ($2,000,000 per claim with a maximum deductible of $100,000), and Employers Liability ($500,000 per accident). Broward County must be named as an additional insured on all liability policies, which shall provide primary coverage with waiver of subrogation in the County's favor. The contractor must provide 30 days' written notice of policy cancellation and 10 days' notice for non-payment cancellations. For Claims-Made policies, insurance must be maintained and evidence provided for at least three years after contract completion. The solicitation incorporates County and State licensing requirements and Office of Economic and Small Business Development regulations, including County Business Enterprise (CBE) goal participation requirements.
