About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document for a contract between Broward County and contractors for the supply and installation of sound masking equipment for the Crisis Intervention & Support Division. The document specifies mandatory insurance coverage types and minimum liability limits that contractors must maintain, including general liability insurance with combined bodily injury and property damage coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, auto liability coverage of $500,000 for combined bodily injury and property damage, worker's compensation at statutory limits, employer's liability at $500,000 per accident, and professional liability coverage for engineering and design professionals with a maximum deductible of $100,000.

The insurance requirements establish that Broward County must be named as an additional insured for liability coverage, the contractor's insurance shall provide primary coverage without requiring contribution from the County, and waiver of subrogation applies in favor of Broward County. For claims-made policies, insurance must be maintained and evidence provided for at least three years after contract completion. The contractor is responsible for all deductibles, with maximum deductibles specified at $10,000 for installation floater coverage if builder's risk or property insurance is not carried. The document is digitally signed by Colleen Pounall from the Risk Management Division and dated 2025-01-15.
