About this file

The document is a comprehensive Technology Services Reference Architecture for Harris County (Texas), detailing the strategic framework for enterprise technology services across multiple domains. The architecture covers six primary service categories: Data Services, Digital Services, Enterprise Technology Infrastructure Services, Information Security Services, IT Service Management, and Technology Optimization. These services are designed to transform data, enable software applications, support infrastructure, ensure security compliance, manage technological operations, and leverage digital technologies to improve existing processes and delivery models.

The reference architecture provides a detailed visualization of each service category, breaking down sub-components and operational principles. For Data Services, this includes structured and unstructured data management with governance frameworks. Digital Services encompass web/portal services, digital channels, and application services. Enterprise Technology Infrastructure Services focus on network services, on-premise/co-location infrastructure, and cloud infrastructure. Information Security Services are structured around identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover principles. The document, dated February 2024 and featuring the Harris County seal, represents a holistic approach to managing and optimizing technological resources across the county's technological ecosystem.
