Addional Quesons:

1. Seeing that work needs to be done in close proximity to the roadway, will the contractor be required to schedule and plan temporary traffic control, like traffic cones and signs, for public safety, or will this be handled by public works, if it's something that is needed?

• The contractor shall furnish, install, and, upon completion of the work, promptly remove all signs, warning devices, and other materials used in the performance of this work for compliance with public safety requirements during construction. The contractor's operations shall cause no unnecessary inconvenience to the public. The public rights-of way shall be always maintained unless interruption is authorized by proper local authority. Any associated expense for this activity is the responsibility of the contractor.

All signs, signals, barricades, use of flaggers, and other traffic control and public safety devices shall conform to the general requirements set forth in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the latest edition of Standard Highway Signs and Standard Alphabets for Highway Signs and/or OSHA Construction Industry Standards (29 CFR Part 1926), Subpart G, Signs, Signals, and Barricades.

2. Also, noticed in one of the pictures at site USVI-STC-400 there is an old car. Does this car need to be removed from the area as well?

• No, the car it is not part of the DSR proposed action. In the photo of this site included in the “site showing supporting images” document, shows the original vs existing condition of the downstream left bank.

o The objective is to show that the sediment and vegetative debris to be removed still piled in the area bud covered by dense vegetation. The car it is outside of the working area and next to a private residence.
