We are interested in attend the job walks on April 15th and 16th. Has there been a time designated for these site visits yet? I didn’t see a time in the provided docs.

Regarding the subject project, is attendance to either or both site visits mandatory? Will the site visits be taking place at the actual work sites? Or, will they be facilitated at the indicated fire station and camp ground?

Attending both site visits are encouraged, as this is considered within the evaluation factors. The site visits will begin at a meeting point and will move to the actual project site.

Contractor to determine the necessary equipment to complete the project based on their bid. The site visit will allow the contractor an opprotunity to determine the necessary equipment as well.

Could you please provide an Engineers Estimate. The solicitation provides the magnitude and schedule of items for the project.

What is the percentage of bid bond for Romero Camuesa & Arroyo Seco Retaining Wall Replacements project?

The bid guarantee shall be 20% of the bid price.

For the rock fall netting is the intent to use soil nails for anchors ?

No this is a wrapped system. The intent is that the rockfall netting is functioning as additional reinforcement (installed in horizontal layers, wrapped around the face to provide additional containment of the special rock embankment.

Is a soils report available?

There is not a soils report available. At the Romero Camuesa site, assume all conglomerate that may be encountered is excavatable.

The geology is different on the Arroyo Seco site, but it is assumed the granite at the site is decomposed and excavatable. If hard rock is encountered that provide an adequate foundation for the retaining walls, the wall height will be adjusted to accommodate the shallower bedrock depth than what is assumed in the drawing.

Any chance of more information for the netting and anchor system specific specifications?

See rockfall netting requirements below. This rockfall netting is not draped along the face of the wall typical to most rockfall netting installations. Instead, it is installed in horizontal lifts wrapped around the face as shown on sheet C-13. Gabion wire mesh material is adequate for this application.

Any chance of extending bid date? The bid date will be extended to May 1, 2024.
