1. Could we have clarification for CXT texture specification? Specification states Romana as the texture;

however, the vendor is stating that is a color, not a texture.

ANSWER: Correct, Romana is not a texture, it is a CXT stone color option. For clarity, the upper half of the CXT shall be horizontal lap (color = buckskin) and the lower half shall be Napa Valley Rock w/Romana Stone Color Option and dark brown grout.

Roof = Cedar Shake Texture

Roof Color = Nuss Brown

2. Will the Forest Service pump the existing restroom vaults?

ANSWER: Yes. The Forest Service will have the vaults pumped once portable toilets (“PORT-A- POTTIES”, etc.) are delivered to the campground.

3. How often do the portable toilets need to be pumped?

ANSWER: There shall be a minimum of four (4) portable toilets to meet the existing four (4) seats currently offered in the campground. It is the contractor’s responsibility to have the portable toilets pumped as often as necessary or the contractor may choose to provide additional portable toilets to meet the public’s use.

4. Is there a separate line item for the portable toilets?

ANSWER: No, there is not a separate line item.

5. Are the Rock Barriers a lump sum item?

ANSWER: Yes. The rock barriers are a lump sum item. It is the contractor’s responsibility to determine how many rocks are required to be in accordance with the drawings, Detail G. This applies to all rock barrier locations (new restrooms, existing restrooms and demolished sites).

6. Will the Forest Service test for asbestos in the vent stacks?

ANSWER: No, the Forest Service will not test the vent stacks. It is assumed that the vent stacks contain asbestos. The contractor may test for asbestos or the contractor may dispose of the vent stacks as if it contains asbestos. Disposal must be in accordance with federal and state guidelines.

ANSWER: The fire rings designated to be removed in a demo site and be removed entirely (including concrete base) and disposed off of National Forest Land and in compliance with demolition specification

Latitude: 32.881609°

Longitude: -116.430721°

9. Where can excess dirt be stockpiled?

A plastic barrier shall be installed under the stockpile and proper BMPs shall be installed and remain in place.

10. Who is providing the Building?

ANSWER: The contractor is responsible for purchasing, ordering, preparing the site, and coordinating the delivery. 15. Please clarify concrete slab on sheet 6 (additive 2). There are conflicting notes, one stating “Concrete Slab to Remain” and another stating “Relocate Concrete Slab to Here”

ANSWER: Clarification for Sheet 6. If additive 2 is awarded the concrete slab and wheel stops shall be relocated to the location as shown on the drawings.

16. Please clarify if 6” parking slab is to be reinforced. It appears that per detail B it is but no detail for 6” parking space is provided.
