Schedule General Notes:

1) Pay Item 151(01) – Mobilization covers movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the project area. Requirements and provisions shall follow Section 151 in the FP-14 specifications. This will be the most common pay item used for mobilization to the project area.

2) Mobilization pay items 151(01)M to 151(12)M shall be used in conjunction with pay items 622(01) to 622(12). When Hourly unit pay items are used, the corresponding mobilization pay item shall be used to pay for movement of equipment operators and equipment to the project site. For example, if a task order requests Pay Item 622(09), a mini excavator, then pay item 151(12)M should be used to pay for mobilization of the mini excavator and an operator.

3) The base of operations location shall be used for mobilization distance determination purposes. Base of Operations should be the location where the equipment is staged but may be any business office location.

Some task orders may be based on shorter distances, if the affected equipment is closer to the project site than the base of operations (e.g., mobilization from one project site to another).

4) Mobilization shall be for one time per job. Mobilization will not be paid for the return trip to the base of operations, or for re-mobilization to the same project (e.g., equipment taken back to the base of operations for the weekend, demobilization prior to final inspection and acceptance, etc.) unless agreed to in advance by the Contracting Officer.
