About this file
This is an RFI (Request for Information) Log that documents questions submitted by potential contractors and the government's responses during the procurement process for the Red Rock Ranger Station Fire Sprinkler System Repair project. The log contains five clarifying questions and their answers relevant to Solicitation No. 127EAX26Q0054, issued by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service on June 5, 2026.
The RFI responses address key project logistics and requirements: the main water line connection point is located south of the Visitor Center off the highway, with AZ Water Company providing the water supply; a blow-off assembly at the warehouse end of the water line is documented in supporting attachments; the Visitor Center's dry sprinkler system operates independently on the same inspection schedule as the administrative system; previous sprinkler deficiency reports are available for contractor review; and regarding the Superintendence requirement under FAR 52.236-6, the designated superintendent may be employed by a subcontractor's payroll provided the prime contractor issues an official designation letter granting full authorization for the individual to make decisions on the prime's behalf and the individual is present on-site at all times during performance. These clarifications support contractors' understanding of the site conditions and compliance requirements for submitting quotations on this small business set-aside solicitation for complete diagnosis and repair of the existing wet and dry sprinkler systems.

Please note that the individual would be present at all times during performance and fully empowered to act on behalf of the prime contractor in accordance with the contract requirements. |
