A: The bonding requirement cannot be waived.
2. I wanted to ask if there are any acceptable alternative forms of security for this project, such as a cash deposit in lieu of a traditional performance and payment bond?
A: Acceptable forms of sureties in lieu of corporate or individual sureties include United States bonds or notes IAW FAR RFO 28.204-1, a certified cashier’s check, bank draft, money order, or currency IAW FAR RFO 28.204-2, or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit IAW FAR RFO 28.204-3.
