About this file
This is a replacement drawing page for a road repair project in the Mendocino National Forest, Pacific Southwest region (R05), specifically identified as M6 Road Repair S15. The document is Amendment A00001 to Attachment 4, Drawings Page 8, showing a section detail at Station G2.
The drawing illustrates a riprap-reinforced cut slope with a 45-degree 1:1 cut angle, incorporating welded wire mesh (WWM) reinforcement, geogrid, geocomposite sheet drain, and a 6-inch double-wall HDPE drain pipe. Per the amendment, the base WWM reinforcement depth perpendicular to the road centerline must be a minimum of 10 feet and laid under the geogrid. The WWM cap at Tier 1 level must also be a minimum of 10 feet deep. The WWM face is designed for a 2-foot height and must be buried no less than 18 inches into the slope or backfill. The drawing includes detailed notes regarding backwall excavation, WWM mat placement with geotextile facing, geogrid placement in three tiers, finished slope requirements at 2:1 horizontal-to-vertical ratio, drainage pipe specifications, and clarification that the contractor may submit alternative welded wire wall systems meeting the same performance specifications. The design addresses surface and subsurface water management for the reconstructed slope.
