About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal solicitation 127EAV26Q0010 for the Kinney Creel Trail Bridge project. The document addresses four questions from prospective bidders regarding scope clarification and site conditions.

Regarding removal work, contractors must remove charred bridge timbers (which can be disposed of on-site on forest lands under Contracting Officer's Representative direction) and small remaining steel components from the prior timber structure, which must be removed from forest lands and properly disposed of. For rip rap work, the standard STD 964-10-02a is not strictly required; contractors need only rearrange existing material currently at the site to protect the new concrete sills, with this work considered incidental to bridge installation. The document includes multiple photographs of the work site showing the creek, charred timber remains, rocks, and surrounding forest conditions to assist bidders in understanding site conditions and the extent of existing bridge debris remaining.
