Proposal Description: The Ino repeater tower site has been identified as a shelter that is a priority to be replaced. The Ino repeater tower site is a fenced in site with an access road. No new ground disturbance or removal of vegetation would occur.
Locations: T47N R7W Section 29; Bayfield County, Wisconsin
Applicable Category of Exclusion: Barring extraordinary circumstances, this action may be categorically excluded from preparation of an EA or EIS pursuant to 36 CFR 220.6 – 3) Repair and maintenance of administrative sites
Review of Resource Conditions: The following resource conditions were considered in determining whether extraordinary circumstances related to the proposed action warrant further analysis.
a. Federally listed threatened or endangered species or designated critical habitat, species proposed for Federal listing or proposed critical habitat, or Forest Service sensitive species.
b. Flood plains, wetlands, or municipal watersheds.
c. Congressionally designated areas, such as wilderness, wilderness study areas, or national recreation areas.
d. Inventoried roadless areas.
e. Research natural areas.
f. American Indians and Alaska Native religious or cultural sites.
g. Archaeological sites, or historic properties or areas.
I have considered the resource conditions above and find with respect to extraordinary circumstances pursuant to 36 CFR 220.6 (b) no extraordinary circumstances described in §30.04 ((1) thru (7)) are present in the affected area.
The project may move forward with no additional design criteria.
