About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document from a Request for Information (RFI) related to Solicitation 12445526Q0023 for MOF Lake Sherwood Dump Station Upgrades. The document addresses clarifications on project specifications, specifically regarding gate installations and site visit timing constraints.
The key clarification provided indicates that all sections pertaining to gates should be disregarded, as the gates were meant to be omitted from the project altogether. This resolves a discrepancy in the original documentation where gate descriptions and specifications appeared inconsistent regarding quantity and location. Additionally, the document acknowledges the challenge posed by snow coverage at the site, which prevents meaningful ground inspection. While no extension to the bid due date is automatically granted, the contracting officer indicates willingness to consider a bid date extension request if site visits cannot be completed prior to the scheduled deadline due to weather conditions. Contractors should direct any site-specific questions to Contracting Officer Representative Stephen Quattrone at Stephen.Quattrone@usda.gov, with a question submission deadline of February 24, 2026 at 1200 EST.

12445526Q0023 MOF Lake Sherwood Dump Station Upgrades RFI
• The description of the double gate shows one gate, but the location is not shown on the drawings, and the breakdown reads “Gates” to indicate there are two double gates to be provided. Please provide the location and number of gates to be provided.
The gates were meant to be omitted from the project altogether. Please disregard all sections pertaining to gates.
•In as much as the ground is covered by snow at this time, it would not be meaningful to inspect the site until the ground is visible. Will there be a possible extension of the bid date if the weather does not allow a site visit prior to the scheduled bid due date?
If this is something that is needed we can make that request.
