About this file

This document contains details for a federal contract opportunity to design reconstruction plans for recreation trails and bridges located in El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico. The USDA Forest Service Southern Region El Yunque National Forest is seeking proposals for design and development of contract documents including drawings, specifications, cost estimates and other materials ready for advertisement of reconstruction of the Big Tree Trail and La Mina Trail as well as associated trail bridges. The project is a 100% small business set-aside. Professional engineering stamps will be required from a Puerto Rico-licensed engineer. Final approved construction documents will be used for subsequent on-site reconstruction work. The estimated construction cost is between $900,000 and $1,300,000. The performance period for design services is 110 days. Non-mandatory site showings will be held on January 8th and 9th, 2020 at the Palo Colorado Recreation Site parking lot for up to 40 people per day, with additional dates as needed.
