About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document providing clarifications for the Superior Quarters Window Replacements federal contract opportunity.
The Period of Performance is confirmed as 8/1/2026 through 10/31/2026, spanning 90 calendar days. The contractor will have access inside the building to perform work, though an employee resides in the building and the awardee must take all necessary precautions to minimize disturbance to the resident. The scope includes replacement of both interior and exterior trim on all windows to match the existing trim being replaced, maintaining the historic character of the building. While Section 08550 references only "Horizontal-Sliding Windows," contractors must refer to the schedule of items and plans for actual window specifications. The new trim shall match the existing trim it replaces in material and finish; windows 8 and 9 require new trim, while all other windows require trim installation matching the existing historic character. No distinction is made between engineer-primed or clear pine materials—the requirement is that new trim matches existing trim.
