About this file
This document is a Project Manual for the Bitterroot Facility Painting Projects located in Stevensville and Darby, Montana, prepared for the U.S. Forest Service. The project involves comprehensive painting work for three ranger stations: Stevensville Ranger Station, Darby Ranger Station, and West Fork Ranger Station. The painting specifications cover exterior surfaces including doors, door frames, trim, fascia, siding, handrails, and posts, with specific requirements for surface preparation, paint systems, and application techniques.
The project manual includes detailed technical specifications across multiple divisions, focusing on General Requirements (Division 01), Existing Conditions (Division 02), Thermal and Moisture Protection (Division 07), and Finishes (Division 09). The painting specifications prescribe premium grade paint systems, primarily using Sherwin-Williams products, with specific protocols for surface preparation, primer application, and finish coats. The Contracting Officer Representative is Shawn Boelman from the Bitterroot National Forest, and the project is scheduled for completion by June 1, 2025. The manual provides comprehensive guidelines for contractors, including requirements for product submittals, quality control, waste management, and project closeout procedures.
