About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers file for solicitation 1240LP26Q0128 regarding Aspen Vault Pumping Services.
The Q&A addresses discrepancies between solicitation documents regarding the number of vaults requiring service. The base year requires pricing for 15 vault compartments across 8 managed recreation sites totaling approximately 14,000 gallons, which reduces to 9 vaults in subsequent option years. The government clarified that the Statement of Work correctly specifies 9 vaults from 8 managed recreation sites, and updated documents reflect these changes. Regarding geographic coordinates, the government confirmed that Avalanche Creek is located at 39°14'5.44"N 107°12'7.35"W, while Portal Campground is at 39°4'35.15"N 106°36'45.91"W, correcting an error in the Excel sheet that had duplicated coordinates. For pricing purposes, the two Maroon Bells locations (Maroon Bells Grays and the Maroon Bells 4-Holer) are to be priced once in fall 2026 (fiscal year 2027/November 2026) upon contract award only. The government indicated these locations will be serviced through alternative means in subsequent option years but retained them in the contract schedule as contingency if other arrangements fail.

1240LP26Q0128- Aspen Vault Pumping Services- Questions and Answers
1. The solicitation and SOW mention 8 or 9 vaults, but the Schedule of Items shows 15 vault compartments across 8 locations, totaling approximately 14,000 gallons.
Should we price all 15 vault compartments listed in the schedule?
Answers – The SOW says 9 vaults from 8 managed rec sites, not 8 or 9 vaults.
The Base year we have 15 vaults to be pumped, then it drops to 9 vaults. The documents have been updated to reflect the changes.
2. The Excel sheet shows the same coordinates for Avalanche Creek and Portal. The SOW lists Avalanche Creek as 39.234869, -107.202000. Can you please confirm that these are the correct coordinates for Avalanche Creek?
Avalanche Creek 39°14'5.44"N 107°12'7.35"W
Portal Campground 39° 4'35.15"N 106°36'45.91"W
3. While reviewing the Option Year tabs, we noticed that the total formulas appear to leave out the two Maroon Bells line items. The pumping frequency for those locations is also blank. Should Maroon Bells Grays and the Maroon Bells 4-Holer be priced once per year for every option year?
Answer – You are correct, we only plan to pump Grays and Maroon Bells 4-holer in the fall of 2026 new fiscal year 2027 (November 2026) once this contract is awarded. After that we have other means to pump these facilities.
But we kept them on the list in case our other option falls through.
