This document summarizes notes from a pre-proposal meeting for a federal construction contract solicitation. A bid bond is required and contractors must be registered in SAM to be considered. The base work and optional items will be evaluated for price reasonableness. Proposals are due April 12, 2021 and will be evaluated on price, capability, technical approach, and past performance. The pre-proposal meeting included a site tour to review existing conditions and requirements. All contractor questions must be submitted in writing by the deadline.

The addition will be on the east side of the warehouse and the bathhouse will be located on the west side of the warehouse. Residing of the warehouse – just removing siding and installing new.

At the warehouse location, reviewed the Helibase and Access Road that is directly east of the warehouse in adjacent field. Existing weather station will be relocated by the government.

Access road will be located above the warehouse parking area to helipad and then connects to the parking area above main office. Resurface and grading of just the upper, warehouse parking lot.

Walked to the location of the Bunkhouse and reviewed the existing condition, utilities and area where it is to be located. Bunkhouse is replica of existing bunkhouse. Tie into the existing septic system, water runs along fence. There is one well in pumphouse and 1 well by existing houses.

Inspections – Contractor responsible for quality control and government responsible for quality assurance. The government will inspect but this doesn’t relieve the contractor from performing their own inspections.
