About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the demolition and disposal requirements for a burned warehouse at the McKenzie River Ranger Station in the Willamette National Forest. The project involves removing and properly disposing of a 23,310 sq ft warehouse (Building 2634) constructed in 1990, which was completely destroyed by fire on July 18, 2025. The contractor must remove and dispose of hazardous materials, including thirteen vehicles, various equipment (water tender, engine, crew vehicles, UTV's, forklift, snowmobiles), and other items such as appliances, electronics, and potentially hazardous materials.

Key requirements include conducting asbestos and TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure) surveys, which found no asbestos and metals below reportable levels, developing a comprehensive work plan, removing all hazardous materials, demolishing remaining structures, and providing a detailed demolition report. The project is located at 57600 McKenzie Hwy, McKenzie Bridge, OR, with specific timelines: 7 days to submit a work plan, 10 days for site work after plan approval, and subsequent deadlines for draft and final reports. The contractor must coordinate with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and follow specific disposal and safety guidelines.
