About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a USDA contract opportunity involving site clearing, vegetation management, and landscaping work. The contract is a new project with an estimated 60-day completion timeline following award. The scope of work includes vegetation clearing in an estimated drainage area, fence line vine removal with a two-foot clearance corridor, tree line trimming, landscape rock removal, weed barrier replacement, and wood mulch installation at a minimum depth of three inches using double-shredded whole tree type mulch. Site photos and an approximate site map identifying work areas have been provided in the Statement of Work and uploaded to attachments on sam.gov.
Contractors are responsible for determining exact dimensions of all work areas during a mandatory site visit, which can be scheduled prior to the June 15th deadline. Key contractor responsibilities include off-site disposal of all cleared debris and removed landscape rock, identification of approved disposal facilities, and awareness of underground irrigation lines and utilities present at the site. Stump grinding is not required, and there is no trunk-diameter limit for trees included in the clearing scope. Site access is generally available during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with daily check-in requirements. The designated USDA ARS site contact for mobilization coordination will be determined at award, with the site visit contact information included in the solicitation description on sam.gov.
