About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for Ricoh Pro 8410s printers and related equipment. The USDA requires approximately 4,000,000 black and white pages of various sizes per printer annually and has established a response deadline of 1:00 pm Mountain Daylight Time on Friday, April 10, 2026.

The government's specifications clarify equipment requirements and service preferences: Ricoh Pro 8410s printers will be equipped with standard Fiery software and EB-36 Fiery Controllers, and each printer will include an Indicator Pole for issue visibility. The USDA declined optional features including Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for scanners, staples-inclusive service agreements, Trained Customer Replaceable Units (TCRUs) with operator training, and Tab Sheet Holders. All submitted devices must be Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant, ensuring products are manufactured or substantially transformed in the United States or designated countries.
