About this file
This is a Question and Answer Document for the USDA Agricultural Research Service's Request for Quotation (RFQ) 1232SA26Q0368 for Printer Lease and Maintenance Services. The document addresses nine vendor inquiries regarding equipment specifications and requirements for two Ricoh Pro 8410s printers.
Key clarifications from the Q&A include: the government does not require Optical Character Recognition (OCR) capabilities, staples-inclusive service agreements, or Trained Customer Replaceable Units (TCRUs) with training; however, standard Fiery software is required for the EB-36 Fiery Controllers, and an Indicator Pole is required for each printer. The government confirmed it will not accept tabs printing and does not need Tab Sheet Holders. Expected annual volume is approximately 4,000,000 black and white pages per printer. The solicitation due date was extended to 1:00 pm Mountain Daylight Time on Friday, April 10, 2026. Notably, the government confirmed mandatory compliance with Trade Agreements Act (TAA) requirements, stipulating that only TAA-compliant devices will be accepted. This Total Small Business Set-Aside solicitation is issued under NAICS code 532420 with a small business size standard of $40.0 million.
