About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity 1232SA26Q0282, issued as of April 23, 2026. The document addresses industry inquiries regarding an HVAC and building systems project.

The government clarified that small amounts of new ductwork are required on MH101 for CV-3, with additional ducting specified for FPB-1 and FPB-2, with references to updated drawings MD101 and MH101. The original roofing contractor is identified as Carlisle Syn Tec Roofing Systems, Carlisle, PA (800-233-0551), with warranty coverage from May 28, 2019 to May 27, 2039; contractors must coordinate with this vendor to maintain warranty standards when performing roof penetrations. The government confirmed that servicing existing HVAC equipment is outside the project scope, and no refrigerant gauges, air compressor, or new unfired pressure vessels are required. For materials, flue piping for boilers must be AL29-4C with PVC intakes; the existing expansion tank is to be reused with no new tank required. The project requires installation of an air dirt separator (per Spirotherm specifications) with no additional air separation tank needed. These clarifications address discrepancies between specification call-outs and final drawings, ensuring contractors understand exact material requirements and existing equipment to remain in place.
