1. The purpose of Amendment 02 is as follows:
BASE CONTRACT CHANGES
Note: The below changes apply to BetaSAM attachment “RFP No 1205M620R0002”
a) No changes with this amendment.
SEED PROJECT CHANGES
Note: The below applies to BetaSAM attachment “Seed Project #2: Snow Cap Pit Crushing and Pit Development”
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Company Question #1: Is the stockpile site for the finished product within the existing footprint of the quarry or do we have to haul to an off-site stockpile location?
USDA FS Answer #1: Yes, the stockpile site for the finished product is within the existing footprint of the quarry.
Company Question #2: There is a conversion factor shown in the proposal of 1.5 tons per cubic yard. How will measurement occur for this material? Will the Government do a pre and post survey to establish the quantity of material processed or are scales necessary?
USDA FS Answer #2: No the government is not going to do a pre or post survey to establish quantity, so yes, scales will be necessary.
Company Question #3: If scales are necessary is a belt scale acceptable or do we need platform scales?
USDA FS Answer #3: Belt scales will be acceptable.
