About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers related to the LaGrande Livestock Water Development Project, a federal contract opportunity solicited by the USFS. The key details are:
The project involves construction or reconstruction of 25 water developments, to be completed between 2024 and November 1, 2025. The contractor will be responsible for supplying all equipment, transportation, personnel, tools and supervision to construct the water developments and associated exclosure fencing. All materials will be provided by the USFS at the LaGrande Ranger District, which the contractor will be required to pick up and transport to the project sites.
The Questions and Answers address several technical details, including responsibility for water lines and fittings, availability of rock and drain rock, number of yards of drain rock per spring box, and provision of posts for troughs. The project sites have varying physical conditions that may affect equipment use, with some ponds requiring longer access by excavators. No site visit is scheduled, but the schedule of items provides details on the physical conditions and distances for each site.
