About this file

This document is a Scope of Work for a flooring replacement project at Westlake High School involving the Varsity Weight Room. The project requires complete removal and replacement of existing flooring with high-performance athletic flooring in the lower level of the school, specifically measuring a minimum of 18mm thick and requiring approval from the Athletic Director. The vendor will be responsible for delivery, installation, assembly, and off-premises trash removal, with a preferred completion timeline during December or Christmas break (Dec 19 – Jan 5) and a hard deadline of March 1, 2025. The project includes replacing transitional thresholds between new and existing flooring and collaborative equipment positioning with the school's Athletic Director.

The flooring specifications require RFS Flooring with 18M PUR-bonded SBR granules and EPDM color flecks, meeting stringent performance standards including impact resistance, slip resistance, force reduction, and energy restitution. The flooring must pass specific ASTM testing requirements, with a coefficient of friction >0.95 and a 5-year warranty. Additional project considerations include access during regular business hours, no truck loading dock availability, and the expectation that the vendor will work closely with the school to finalize equipment layout based on site conditions and training needs. Projected machinery layouts for both the upstairs Exercise Room and downstairs Varsity Weight Room are included as reference documents to guide installation.
