About this file
The document is a Price Schedule Excel spreadsheet for an Automatic Lighting Controls Project issued by the City of North Carolina's Building Services Division within the General Services Department/Engineering & Project Management. The project seeks to contract with one or more companies to provide installation, maintenance, and programming services for automatic lighting controls in city facilities, covering approximately 180 buildings including offices, fire stations, police division offices, equipment shops, cultural facilities, museums, and arenas. The contract term is initially three years with an option to renew for two additional one-year terms, and the services will focus on lighting control systems not part of an integrated Building Automation System.
The price schedule outlines hourly rates for various service categories including standard hours (7 AM - 5 PM), after-hours/weekend/holiday emergency services, and different levels of technical expertise such as certified staff for controls programming, repair, and emergency services. Pricing must be all-inclusive in United States dollars, covering labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and necessary tools. The document specifies that all unit prices include overhead and profit, with the company responsible for building permits (to be reimbursed by the city). For unusual circumstances not covered in the standard categories, the city and the contracted company will negotiate specific rates. The pricing structure allows for markup on parts and materials, with the expectation that the proposal will reflect all costs for which the city will be responsible.
