The contractor is required to weld two rungs of succor rod to 300 existing drill pipe posts using materials (succor rod and connecting clips) supplied and stockpiled on-site by UDWR. The project is located at elevation 7,600 feet and is accessible via well-maintained county dirt roads on two sides and by OHV on the third side. Work must commence on or after October 1, 2026, and must be completed and inspected by November 20, 2026, providing a 51-calendar-day performance window. No formal site visit has been scheduled, but bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the site prior to bidding to understand the logistical challenges of accessing the entire fence line. A pre-work conference will be held at the project site prior to the start of work to review specifications, schedules, and administrative provisions.

The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, and operating supplies, including a minimum 4-person crew equipped with welding and torch equipment capable of OHV transport. Payment will be made in one lump sum upon completion and acceptance of all work, based on the total number of posts inspected and accepted by the government. The contractor bears full liability for any fires resulting from their operations, must maintain comprehensive work records (dates, distance completed, location, supervisor information, and work quality), and is responsible for site cleanup, waste disposal, road restoration, hazardous materials compliance, and protection of cultural and historical resources. Work hours are limited to one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset, and the contractor must designate an English-literate on-site supervisor.
