SCOPE OF CONTRACT

The purpose of this contract is to provide roadway and drainage maintenance on four (4) roads on the Trabuco Ranger Districts of the Cleveland National Forest. The final product will provide needed road maintenance and drainage Best Management Practice (BMP) to all roads shown on the project map. The work consists of 4 roads totaling 27.58 miles of Blading (Spec-811) and Restore Drainage Function (Spec-839), and 49 overside drain replacement. Additionally, within the Airport Fire Burn area there is channel clearing (Spec-832) of material under a large bridge and a small bridge. Material will be removed and spread in various locations near the creek site. All work is within Riverside County, and Orange County.

The existing drainage features (rolling dips, lead off ditches) are missing or severely weathered. They will need to be re-established or re-shaped to get the road to drain in the best possible way. The existing roads are not in good condition and are extremely rutted and rocky. Estimate accordingly to ensure all the bad areas are addressed and not ignored utilizing a bulldozer where needed.

This contract provides for the equipment, labor, and services necessary to perform work ordered by the Government for road maintenance on unsurfaced roads, in compliance with the terms, specifications, drawings and provisions of this contract. Locations of work will be directed by the Forest Service.
