About this file

This is a Business Request for GRAMA Business Confidentiality Claim form issued by Salt Lake City Corporation Purchasing & Contracts Management Division for use in connection with the SLCI26095 SCADA & Telemetry Consulting and On-Call Services contract opportunity. The form enables contractors and private providers to identify and protect proprietary records or information from public disclosure under the Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA). Claimants must provide detailed information including company name, representative contact details, and specific identification of the records or information requiring protection by page and paragraph number. The form requires a concise written statement explaining the basis for the confidentiality claim, with options to indicate whether a redacted public copy of the records is also being submitted.

Under Utah Code 63G-2-305, trade secrets and commercial financial information may be protected from disclosure if the submitting party demonstrates that disclosure could result in unfair competitive injury and provides a formal confidentiality claim as required by Utah Code 63G-2-309. Submission of a confidentiality claim does not guarantee protected classification if the government receives a public records request, as final determination rests with the governmental entity. Contractors must submit their confidentiality claims simultaneously with the protected information to Salt Lake City Corporation for consideration.
