About this file
This document is an attachment to a Request for Proposal (RFP) Solicitation No. BPM006379 issued by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) for a capacity development and technical assistance contract related to small public drinking water systems. The attachment specifically addresses compliance with Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) 35-394, requiring certification regarding the use of forced labor of ethnic Uyghurs in the People's Republic of China. The document involves Watearth, Inc., a company based in Tucson, Arizona, as the potential contractor.
The solicitation requires contractors to certify they do not use forced labor of ethnic Uyghurs, goods or services produced by such labor, or work with subcontractors or suppliers engaged in such practices. The document provides exemptions for sole proprietorships, companies with fewer than ten employees, and non-profit organizations. While specific contract details about the drinking water systems technical assistance are not provided in this attachment, the focus is on ensuring ethical labor practices as a condition of entering into a contract with a public entity in Arizona.
