About this file

This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) issued by the Jordan School District in Utah for use in connection with the Bingham High School Transformer Relocation project. The document establishes compliance requirements that all vendors and contractors must acknowledge and certify before contracting with the district. Vendors are required to certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined under Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) and must agree to maintain this compliance throughout the entire contract period. The statement provides specific examples of prohibited boycotts, including boycotts of the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture, firearms manufacturers or distributors, companies not meeting environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws, and companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. Vendors must sign and date the statement, providing their company name and solicitation information, certifying their commitment to comply with these restrictions.

If a vendor determines during the contract period that it is engaged in any covered boycott, it must immediately notify the Jordan School District in writing. This attestation requirement applies to all goods, services, supplies, information technology, and construction services provided under contracts with the district and serves as a precondition to bid submission and contract award.

ATTACHMENT B

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement

In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.

We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
