About this file
This file is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) required by the Jordan School District for vendors bidding on the Jordan Ridge Elementary School Roof Replacement project in South Jordan, Utah. The statement, revised September 10, 2024, implements Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) and requires all vendors contracting with the district to certify compliance with public contract boycott restrictions. Vendors must confirm they are not currently engaged in economic boycotts or boycotts of the State of Israel, as defined in the statute, and agree to maintain compliance throughout the contract term. The statement specifically prohibits boycotts of the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture, firearms manufacturers and distributors, companies not meeting environmental standards beyond applicable regulations, and companies not facilitating access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries, absent an ordinary business purpose. Vendors who engage in prohibited boycotts must immediately notify the public entity in writing.
The certification form requires the vendor to provide the solicitation name and number, company name, authorized signatory with printed name, and date of execution. This compliance document is mandatory for all bidders responding to the roof replacement solicitation and must be submitted with the bid proposal. Failure to complete and execute the boycott restriction statement or evidence of engagement in prohibited boycotts may result in bid rejection or contract termination.

ATTACHMENT B
Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement
In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.
We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
