About this file

This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) issued by the Jordan School District in Utah for the Bluffdale Elementary School Roof Replacement project. The document requires all vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to certify compliance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97), which prohibits participation in economic boycotts or boycotts of the State of Israel. Vendors must agree not to engage in specified boycotts during the entire contract period, including boycotts of the State of Israel, traditional energy companies, mining or agricultural companies, firearms manufacturers or distributors, companies not meeting enhanced environmental standards, or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. Vendors are required to sign and date the certification statement, providing their company name and the solicitation number.

The roof replacement project involves a full tear-off of the existing roofing system at the school and replacement with new roofing materials, including removal of abandoned roof penetrations and replacement of rooftop mechanical units. Vendors must acknowledge that if they are currently engaged in a prohibited boycott, they must immediately notify the Jordan School District in writing. The certification requirement applies to all goods, services, supplies, information technology, and construction services provided under the contract. Failure to comply with this boycott restriction statement may result in contract termination or other remedies available to the public entity.

ATTACHMENT B

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement

In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.

We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
