The contract resulting from this IFB will be for instruments needed throughout the academic school year of Springville High School, as long as the vendor will maintain pricing, as determined in their winning bid.
You will note that brand names and models have been specified. Brand names are listed as a means of identifying a minimum standard of quality and are not intended to limit competition. You may bid an equivalent or superior instrument. Items bid must meet or exceed specifications. Equivalent means any other brand that is equal to or greater than, in use, quality, economy and performance to the brand listed, as determined solely by the School District. Items must be delivered unboxed, fully assembled and inspected by the vendor or order will be refused. DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION: All deliveries are inside delivery.
Delivery will be considered when issuing award. One of the questions in the solicitation will be if you can confirm that all instruments can be delivered by August 1, 2026 to the school.

For the string instruments, vendors must be within the state of Utah and able to pick-up and deliver instruments needing warranty and service in a timely manner. Also, string instruments need to have been acclimated to Utah’s altitude to limit drying and cracking issues.
