About this file

This document is a Payment Bond for a bridge rehabilitation project issued by the City of Lafayette, Colorado, involving RockSol Consulting Group, Inc. as the Design Professional. The project focuses on rehabilitating the bridge box culvert deck on 120th Street over Coal Creek, which includes replacing the entire top slab of the bridge culvert, bridge railing, asphalt improvements, pedestrian crossing signal relocation, signing, striping, and final area stabilization. The contract term is set at 60 working days, with the project account number 34-301-932100.

The Payment Bond establishes financial guarantees and protections for labor, materials, and equipment suppliers, with the bond amount left blank in the document. The surety agrees to ensure prompt payment to claimants and defend the City of Lafayette from potential claims related to the construction contract. The bond is governed by Colorado state law and provides a mechanism for suppliers and subcontractors to seek payment if the contractor fails to compensate them for their work or materials. The bond includes specific provisions for how claims can be made, processed, and potentially resolved, with a two-year limitation period for initiating legal proceedings related to the bond.
