About this file

This is a Responses to Offeror Questions document for federal contract opportunity 030ADV26Q0068, issued on 07/16/2026.

The document addresses three key technical questions regarding GPS antenna configuration, PTP licensing requirements, and network connectivity locations. Regarding GPS infrastructure, the government clarified that the current configuration consists of two GPS antennas feeding an Evertz 7707 GPS Fiber transceiver to Master Clocks in R1, with the existing Evertz hardware available for reuse. However, the antennas, cabling, and fiber connections require replacement. For licensing, the government confirmed that no PTP licenses are required for each MSG unit, though NTP functionality must be present. Regarding network connectivity, the government indicated that existing Ethernet connectivity is available in R7, with any additional network runs for VistaLink, NTP, and PTP terminating in R31.

Question Answer

1 C.3.7.4 Section C.3.7.4 mentions a single GPS antenna. MSG's typically have their own antenna which would total two for this project. This would be accompanied by their own individual waveguide and cabling. Can you confirm that the library currently has two GPS antennas and requires two replacement antennas, transmission equipment, remote power and cables?

The current configuration consists of 2 GPS antenna feeding a Evertz 7707 GPS Fiber transceiver to the Master Clocks in R1. The Evertz hardware can be re-used but The Antennas, cabling, fiber connections will need replacement.

2 C.3.2.1 Section C.3.2.1 mentions the capability of PTP but does not specify if it requires PTP licenses for each MSG

No licenses for PTP are required.

NTP functionality must be present however

3 In which racks in R1 are the network demarc for VistaLink, NTP and PTP located?

There is existing Ethernet connectivity in R7, if additional runs need to be installed they will terminate in R31
