About this file
This document is a 30% Technical Specifications Outline for the Town of Frisco's Well 7 PFAS Mitigation Improvements project, prepared by Plummer Associates in May 2024. The specifications outline covers multiple divisions of construction requirements, including procurement, general requirements, concrete, masonry, metals, wood and composites, thermal and moisture protection, openings, finishes, electrical, earthwork, utilities, process interconnections, and process equipment. The document utilizes the 2023 version of the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) EJCDC contract documents and provides a comprehensive technical breakdown of expected construction specifications across 11 detailed divisions, ranging from basic administrative requirements to specific technical installation and equipment guidelines.
The specifications indicate a complex water treatment facility improvement project focusing on PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) mitigation, with extensive technical requirements for construction, equipment installation, piping, electrical systems, control systems, and process interconnections. The outline suggests the project will involve constructing a new building, installing media pressure vessels, associated piping and equipment, electrical and instrumentation systems, approximately 400 linear feet of 8-inch buried pipe, chemical storage rooms, a new driveway, and site improvements. The technical specifications provide highly detailed guidelines for contractors, covering everything from concrete forming and reinforcing to specialized process measurement instrumentation, control system configurations, and purification equipment specifications.
