About this file
This document is a pre-bid conference presentation for a competitive solicitation issued by the Washington Department of Enterprise Services (DES) for the purchase of Signal Flares and Highway Signal Devices. DES is the sole agency empowered to create statewide contracts for use by all Washington state agencies and other eligible purchasers, including political subdivisions, tribes, federal agencies, and nonprofits.
The solicitation is seeking bids for two types of contract awards - a Main Award open to all bidders, and a Reserved Award specifically for Washington Small Businesses and/or Certified Veteran-Owned Businesses. Bids are due by November 29, 2024, and DES aims to award the contracts by January 1, 2025, with an initial 2-year term and one 2-year extension option. Pricing must be inclusive of all costs, and a 1.25% Vendor Management Fee will be applied to all contract sales. The solicitation also outlines insurance requirements, an economic price adjustment clause, and provides resources to assist potential bidders in the bid preparation process.
