About this file

This is a Technical Specifications exhibit for an electrical construction project managed by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) at the Cascade Locks Maintenance Station in Cascade Locks, Oregon. The project scope includes interior office improvements and exterior lighting upgrades at the facility located at 60 NW Forest Ln. The contractor must construct a new office within the existing data room by installing track-mounted bi-folding closet doors, relocating room lighting, installing one electrical outlet and one data port, and providing a steel door with a 2'x3' vision window fitted with soundproofing strips. Additionally, the contractor must install a 1-ton hyper-heat ductless heat pump system (Trane, Mitsubishi, or Daikin) with interior wall-mounted unit and exterior condenser, provide electrical power and refrigerant lines, and install a new thermostat. Acoustic soundproofing perimeter strips must be installed on two existing office doors (offices 101 and 202) to attenuate noise from maintenance activities. The project also requires installation of 14 wall-mounted LED light fixtures (Lithonia Lighting TWX3 LED ALO 40K MVOLT DDBTXD basis of design) across the shop, storage, and fuel buildings. The substantial completion deadline is March 13, 2026, with final completion required by March 23, 2026. Work must be performed Monday through Thursday between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., excluding weekends and state holidays unless approved. Site visits are encouraged but not required prior to bidding.

The contractor, selected as an electrical vendor prime contractor, is responsible for obtaining all required mechanical and electrical permits and providing copies to the ODOT Project Manager prior to work commencement. The contractor must provide one-year warranties on all workmanship and all applicable equipment warranties. All materials and equipment not specifically noted as existing or provided by ODOT shall be supplied by the contractor, including a bucket truck or equivalent equipment for reaching exterior fixtures. ODOT will provide site power, water, sanitary facilities, and will relocate furniture and materials as needed. The contractor is responsible for all cleanup, debris removal, material storage coordination, utility conflict identification, and compliance with Oregon OSHA regulations. Submittals including equipment specifications, permits, contractor contact information, and subcontractor lists must be approved by the ODOT Project Manager prior to construction start. The project is funded through ODOT Facilities Management ESB (Enterprise Service Board) funds. The ODOT Project Manager is Jorge Ojeda (jorge.ojeda@odot.oregon.gov, 971-429-4075).
