GovTribe

Profile

Manage your GovTribe profile, security settings, tags, custom fields, and notification preferences from one account page.

Click Profile, or open GovTribe, open the user menu, and click View Profile.

Profile

The Profile section controls the basic details connected to your user account.

FieldWhat it controls
NameThe display name GovTribe shows for your user account. Name changes save directly after you click Save.
EmailThe email address used for sign-in and account notifications. Changing your email requires your current password and stays pending until the new email address is verified.
Phone NumberThe phone number connected to your account. Changing your phone number requires your current password and stays pending until the new number is verified.

If you change only your name, GovTribe saves the update and shows a profile-updated confirmation. If you change your email or phone number, GovTribe asks for your current password before saving the pending value.

When an email change is pending, GovTribe shows a warning at the top of the page with the new email address and a Resend button for verification instructions. When a phone number change is pending, GovTribe shows a warning with Verify Phone Number, which opens phone-number verification for the new number.

When an email or phone change is blocked

Profile email changes use the same work-email expectations as registration. If GovTribe rejects the new email address, confirm that you are using the work email address you should use for GovTribe. If the address is legitimate and still cannot be saved, review Troubleshoot GovTribe account access before contacting support.

If a new email or phone number is pending verification:

  • Use Resend for a pending email verification message.
  • Use Verify Phone Number for a pending phone number change.
  • Keep using the old verified value until the new value is verified.
  • Contact Customer Success if you entered the wrong new email or phone number and cannot complete verification.

Do not send your password, SMS code, verification link, or two-factor authentication code to support.

Settings

The Settings section groups account security, preference, and workspace setup tools.

SettingWhat it does
AvatarUploads the image other users see when you use GovTribe. Custom avatars must be JPEG or PNG, at least 50 by 50 pixels, and no larger than 512 KB. If you already have a custom avatar, Clear removes it.
PasswordOpens the password-change dialog for the password you use to sign in to GovTribe.
Two-Factor AuthenticationAdds an authenticator-app verification step to sign-in. Turn it on to generate a QR code, scan the code in your authenticator app, and enter the six-digit code to confirm. Turning two-factor authentication off removes the requirement. GovTribe emails you when the setting changes.
Not InterestedOpens the list of records you have marked as not useful. Use it to remove records from your Not Interested list. For how records get added to that list, see Mark results as Not Interested.
Manage TagsOpens the workspace tag manager for tags used on capture and workflow records such as pursuits, pipelines, and tasks.
Manage Custom FieldsOpens the custom-field manager for pursuit fields your workspace defines. For setup examples and field-type guidance, see Create custom pursuit fields.

Not Interested affects supported opportunity and forecast search results. When a supported record is on your list, GovTribe can hide it from matching results so you do not keep reviewing the same irrelevant item.

Manage Tags

Manage Tags opens a table of workspace tags. Use the search bar to find a tag, then use the table actions to maintain the tags your team uses to organize records.

ControlWhat it does
Search TagsSearches the tag table.
New TagOpens Create New Tag, where you enter a tag name and choose a tag color.
MergeMerges selected tags into one destination tag. GovTribe moves records from the selected tags to the destination tag, then removes the merged tags.
Edit TagOpens Edit Tag, where you can change the tag name or color.
Delete TagOpens a confirmation dialog before deleting the tag.

Use merge when two tags mean the same thing and you want records to use one shared tag going forward. Choose the destination tag carefully because the selected tags are removed after the merge completes.

Manage Custom Fields

Manage Custom Fields opens the workspace custom-field table for pursuits. Custom fields let your team track structured capture details that are not part of GovTribe's standard pursuit fields, such as internal review dates, proposal status, bid decisions, pricing milestones, or capture priority.

The table shows each custom field's title, type, attached record type, required status, creator, and actions. Customer-facing custom fields are currently attached to pursuits.

Use New Custom Field to open Create New Custom Field. The drawer includes:

SettingWhat it controls
Field TypeThe kind of value the field stores: Text, Number, Dollar, or Date.
TitleThe label your team sees when editing or reviewing the pursuit field.
Placeholder TextOptional helper text shown before a value is entered.
Fielded ModelThe record type the field attaches to. Today, customer-facing custom fields attach to pursuits.
Make this field requiredRequires a value when the field is used on a pursuit.

You can edit or delete custom fields from the table. Deleting a custom field removes the field and all data associated with that field from pursuits, so review the confirmation carefully before deleting.

Notifications

The Notifications section controls the opportunity and pipeline updates GovTribe sends to you.

NotificationWhat enabling it doesWhat disabling it does
Recommended Federal OpportunitiesLets GovTribe send personalized opportunity recommendations when matching records are generated for your account. These notifications can appear by email and in the GovTribe notification center.Stops GovTribe from sending this recommendation notification type to you.
Trending Federal OpportunitiesLets GovTribe send the weekly trending-opportunities notification when GovTribe has popular opportunities to share. These notifications can appear by email and in the GovTribe notification center.Stops GovTribe from sending this trending notification type to you.
PipelinesOpens Pipeline Notifications, where you control update notifications for pipeline and pursuit activity.Pipeline notifications are managed per pipeline in that window.

Recommended and trending opportunity notifications point you back to Explore, where you can review recommended and popular opportunity records before opening a full search page.

Pipeline Notifications

Pipeline Notifications controls the emails and in-app notifications you receive when pipelines and pursuits are updated.

The first setting is Default. When your default is on, GovTribe turns on notifications for new pipelines created after that point for your user account. Existing pipeline notification rows keep their current settings.

Each pipeline row has two settings:

SettingWhat it means
EnabledTurns notifications for that pipeline on or off. When disabled, GovTribe does not send you update notifications for that pipeline.
FrequencyControls how often you receive pipeline activity emails. Instant sends activity notifications as updates happen. Daily collects matching activity and sends it in a daily pipeline activity digest.

When Pipeline Notifications opens from Profile, it shows a table of your available pipeline notification settings. When it opens from a single pipeline page, it shows the same controls for that pipeline only.
