Capture profiles
Set up the vendors you represent for teaming, name and annotate each profile, choose which one to team as, and set your preferred teaming role. Your capture profile powers teaming pre-fill and vendor-pairing recommendations.
Open Profile, or open the user menu and click View Profile, then find the Capture Profiles card near the top of the page.
A capture profile is a vendor you represent when teaming. You can add more than one, and you designate exactly one for teaming. Your designated capture profile drives your teaming: it pre-fills the vendor when you create a teaming interest, and its NAICS codes and contracting agencies power the vendor-pairing suggestions and vendor-matched opportunity recommendations in your teaming recommendations and weekly teaming email.
Set your preferred role
Preferred role sets the side you usually team on:
- Find Subcontractors — you lead the bid and want subcontractors (a Prime role).
- Be a Subcontractor — you offer capabilities under another vendor's prime bid (a Sub role).
GovTribe suggests a role from your capture profile vendor's federal award history when you have not chosen one. You can override the suggestion at any time, and you can still change the role on any individual teaming interest.
Add and designate a capture profile
Name the profile and add a vendor. In a capture profile row, type a Name for the profile — it defaults to the vendor's name if you leave it blank — then type a vendor name or UEI in the Vendor field and pick the matching vendor. Use Add profile to represent more than one vendor.
Add an optional note. Use the Note field to describe what this profile pursues, up to 1,000 characters. GovTribe uses it to sharpen future recommendations.
Choose which one to team as. Select Use for teaming on the profile you want to represent in teaming. GovTribe confirms with You'll be teaming as [vendor]. If you have profiles but none is designated, GovTribe prompts you to Choose which capture profile to use for teaming.
Save. Click Save. Your designated vendor now pre-fills new teaming interests and drives your vendor-pairing and matched-opportunity recommendations.
Use Remove on a row to delete a capture profile. If you remove the designated profile, choose a new one before saving.
Set-asides and clearances are derived, not entered
GovTribe determines your teaming posture and set-aside eligibility from your designated vendor's federal award history — you do not self-attest set-asides, socioeconomic status, or clearances on your capture profile. There are no set-aside or clearance fields to fill in.
Where set-asides come from
When you post a Prime interest on a record that carries a set-aside, the create form shows a banner noting the record's set-aside and that you are looking for partners eligible for it. The eligibility comes from the record and your vendor's award history, not from a value you type. See Create a teaming interest.
