Pipelines

Use pipelines to organize pursuit work, review pipeline stages, manage capture workflows, and update the pipeline records your team uses for capture.

Click Pipelines, or open GovTribe, expand the sidebar if it is collapsed, expand Capture, and click Pipelines.

Pipelines is available on Launch, Launch Plus, Growth, Growth Plus, and Scale. Limits for active pursuits vary by plan; see Choose the right GovTribe plan.

Pipelines shows workspace-level capture metrics, a pipeline table, row actions, pagination, rows per page, and Fields controls.

Actions

Page actions

  • New Pipeline opens the New Pipeline drawer. Use it to name a pipeline, add a description, set tags and permissions, and choose blank stages, a GovTribe template, or an account template.
  • Rows per page changes how many pipeline rows appear on each table page.
  • Fields opens the table-field controls so you can show or hide visible columns.

Row actions

  • Open the pipeline name opens the pipeline board for that row.
  • Edit Pipeline opens the Edit Pipeline drawer for that row.
  • Delete Pipeline opens a confirmation dialog for that row. The dialog warns that deleting a pipeline also deletes its pursuits.

Result-level actions

  • Edit Pipeline opens the edit workflow for the open pipeline.
  • Import Pursuits opens a CSV import dialog for adding pursuits to the pipeline's Triage stage.
  • Export Pursuits exports pursuits from the open pipeline.
  • Manage Notifications opens pipeline notification settings.
  • Restore Deleted Pursuits opens the restore workflow for pursuits deleted from the pipeline. Restored pursuits return to Triage.
  • Create Account Template or Update Account Template manages whether the pipeline can be reused as an account template.
  • Delete Pipeline opens a confirmation dialog for the open pipeline.
  • New Pipeline opens the new-pipeline workflow from the detail page.
  • Copy ID copies the pipeline identifier for support or internal troubleshooting.

Create and edit pipelines

Use the New Pipeline and Edit Pipeline drawers when the pipeline structure, ownership, or access rules need to change. Both drawers open from the right side of the page and save changes to the workspace pipeline.

New Pipeline drawer

The New Pipeline drawer includes fields for Name, Description, Tags, and Allowed Users. Use Allowed Users when only specific teammates should see or update the pipeline.

The drawer also includes stage setup choices:

  • Blank Stages starts a new pipeline with the stages you enter.
  • GovTribe Templates starts from a GovTribe-provided capture workflow.
  • Account Templates starts from a pipeline template saved in your workspace.

Edit Pipeline drawer

The Edit Pipeline drawer lets permitted users update the pipeline Name, Description, Tags, and Allowed Users. Pipeline owners can also use Transfer Owner to assign ownership to another user.

When account-template controls are available, the drawer can create or update the account template connected to that pipeline. Those controls appear only for users who can manage the selected pipeline template.

Stage columns and pursuit cards

The pipeline detail page displays stages as board columns. Each stage header shows the stage name and pursuit count. Stage footers summarize the estimated and probable value for pursuits in that stage when values are available.

Pursuit cards appear inside their current stage and show the pursuit information your team uses for capture review, such as the pursuit name, due-date status, tags, participants, and the card action menu.

Each stage includes an add-pursuit button. Use it when you need to create a pursuit directly inside that stage.

Stage controls

Use the stage actions menu to manage a stage or the cards inside it.

  • Edit Stage updates the stage name and description.
  • Move Stage to Another Pipeline moves a user-created stage into another pipeline and lets you choose where it belongs in that destination pipeline.
  • Add Stage Before creates a stage before the selected user-created stage.
  • Add Stage After creates a stage after the selected stage.
  • Delete Stage deletes the selected user-created stage and the pursuits in that stage after confirmation.
  • Copy GovTribe ID copies the stage identifier for support or internal troubleshooting.
  • Sort By Name, Sort By Due Date, and Sort By Updated reorder the pursuit cards inside that stage.

Triage is the default first stage in a pipeline. It supports adding pursuits, copying the GovTribe ID, and sorting pursuit cards, but it has fewer stage-management controls than user-created stages.

Reorder stages

Drag a user-created stage header left or right to change the order of stages in the pipeline. Triage stays at the beginning of the board and is not reordered with the user-created stages.

Move pursuits between stages

Drag a pursuit card from one stage column to another to update the pursuit's stage. The card moves into the destination column so the board reflects the current capture workflow.

Pipeline badges and capture rate

Pipeline badges summarize workspace context such as tags, owner, template status, and visible permissions when available. Capture-rate badges summarize pursuits marked Won, Lost, or Abandoned inside the pipeline. The percentages depend on terminal pursuit outcomes; new or active-only pipelines may not have meaningful capture-rate values yet.

Local search, filtering, and permissions

The pipeline detail page searches and filters pursuits inside the selected pipeline. Pipeline edit controls can be hidden or limited when you do not have permission to update the selected pipeline.

Common questions

For general search and table troubleshooting, see Troubleshoot search results.

What do Probable and Estimated include?

Probable and Estimated summarize active pursuit values. The page excludes pursuits that are won, lost, or abandoned from active value totals. If a pipeline row shows a dash for one of those values, GovTribe does not have an active pursuit value to summarize for that pipeline.

Why can some teammates not see or edit a pipeline?

Pipeline visibility can depend on pipeline permissions. When creating or editing a pipeline, the Allowed Users control can limit who can view and edit that pipeline.

What happens if I delete a pipeline?

Deleting a pipeline also deletes the pursuits in that pipeline. GovTribe shows a confirmation dialog before the delete action completes.
