UNSPSC 78121500: Packing

UNSPSC 78121500 Packing is a Class code whose scope in recent state and local procurement diverges sharply from typical packing operations. The source shows no relevant packing solicitations—none of the five recent opportunities tagged under this code involve the procurement or supply of packing materials, containers, cushioning, or related consumables. Instead, the tagged opportunities span irrigation system installation (City of DeBary), election equipment transportation (City of Detroit), charter bus services (Bibb County Schools), tourism collateral fulfillment and storage (Visit St. Pete-Clearwater), forestry hose backpack procurement (Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management), and transportation planning consulting (Columbus Consolidated Government). These categories are substantively unrelated to packing.

Because the recent-opportunities block contains no active demand for packing products or services under this code, no issuing-body mix, geographic concentration, or representative opportunities specific to packing can be drawn from state and local procurement activity. The code shows little relevant recent activity from state and local buyers; the tagged records appear to reflect tagging error rather than genuine packing-category procurement.
