UNSPSC 78121502: Crating services

UNSPSC 78121502 Crating services is a Commodity code with little activity reflected in recent state and local opportunities. The recent solicitations tagged to this code do not match its nominal scope — the postings cover transportation and relocation services (school consolidation moves), consulting and planning studies (trails, sidewalks, school traffic impact), irrigation system improvements, hazardous waste collection, and emergency medical transport. None of these services involve crating, packaging, or containerization work. The mismatch suggests either misclassification by the issuing bodies or that the code is used peripherally if at all in current state and local procurement activity.

The absence of crating-focused opportunities in the recent record indicates limited procurement demand under this code at present. Business development professionals should verify whether state and local buying is genuinely shifting away from crating services, whether the code has fallen out of active use by procurement offices in favor of broader shipping or logistics codes, or whether demand exists but remains unposted in the sources tracked here.
