NIGP 69058: Power Transmission, Kinetic

NIGP 69058 Power Transmission, Kinetic, an Item code, encompasses the installation, testing, and documentation of low-voltage IT and telecommunications infrastructure—including conduit, raceways, cabling, terminations, and supporting systems—that state and local governments procure for facility reconstruction and technology modernization projects. The scope spans furnishing materials, labor, equipment, and supervision to deliver complete operational systems meeting agency technical standards, with final testing and certification included in the deliverable.

County governments and special-purpose districts are the primary issuing bodies under this code, soliciting these services through ITB and RFP processes for both standalone infrastructure projects and as components of larger facility renovations. DeKalb County, Georgia posted ITB 2026-076-ITB on June 9, 2026 for reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center in Mason Mill Park, Decatur, requesting bids due July 13, 2026; the scope required the contractor to furnish and install all conduit, pathways, sleeves, supports, raceways, cabling, and terminations in accordance with DeKalb County Department of Innovation and Technology Standards, with final device locations coordinated with the county prior to rough-in. Recent activity centers in Georgia, though the source reflects limited posting volume across the available opportunity record.
